5th KAIMAKSTALAN CLIMB IN EDESSA 2018

On Sunday 9 September 2018 PAS Aeropos Edessas, in collaboration with the Association of Veterans Athlets Athletics of Edessa, the DIKEDE Edessa, with  the patronage of the Municipality of Edessa, are organizing a road cycling race called 4th Climb of Kaimaktsalan.

ARTICLE 1 (DESCRIPTION)

Date: Sunday, September 9, 2018 and start time 10:30 am

ROUTE DETAILS

An uphill race 35 km from the city center of Edessa (Little Falls) to the refuge of the Kaimaktsalan Ski Resort at an altitude of 2030 meters. (Start at 11:30. There will be prestart about 3 km through the city, and a start will be made on the move).

ARTICLE 2 (ELIGIBILITY)

All athletic cyclists over the age of 18 are eligible to participate. Younger athletes can participate after informed consent of their parents

The participants in the race accept with their participation in the race this Regulation and are obliged to respect him. All participants take part with their own responsibility or liability for any accident or damage to, or loss of, or damage the bike equipment, clothes, bicycles etc.

The organizers do not accept responsibility for any accident, loss or damage of any material participating in the event.

Registrations will also be made at the starting point, up to one hour before the start. Participation fee 10 euros

Cyclists are obliged to:

1. Attend the start of race 45 minutes before starting.

2. sign on the list of cyclists when calling  30 minutes before the departure of the race.

3. wear a protective helmet during the race.

4. behave in the race to the other cyclists, the  committee and the attendants according to the fair play.

5. Must wear identification numbers, which will be provided by the organizer. The dimensions and layout of the number does not accept changes.

6. the three (3) first cyclists are required to appear on the podium for the emergence of winners.

ARTICLE 3 (CATEGORIES OF ATHLETES)

OPEN

Adolescents 15-18 (with parents signature)

Men 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Women

If  some categories is not filled to the limit of six athletes then  merges with the next.

RECEIPT NUMBERS:

At the Secretariat from 08:30 am to 10:00 am

AWARDS PRIZES

On the 1st of each category will be awarded cup, medal, certification.

2nd and 3rd medal, certification

4th 5th 6th certification.

ARTICLE 4 (SUPPORT)

Supplying water and isotonic there will be in the 12km and 21km. Athletes are asked kindly to only refuse garbage within the support stations.

CONTROL POINTS

The passage of athletes  will be recorded at two points of the route. Athletes  are required to wear a helmet and their number in a prominent place so that judges can record them without any problems or delay.

FIRST AID

There will be a doctor in the field and support from EKAB Pella

Also in many places of the route there will be members of Radio Edessa to have immediate information on any incident.
